I’ve never really seen this series.  Although, I watched a few clips on youtube today.  Reading about the concept behind the show made me think about the life force that drives us to be what we are.  It seems that the show is designed to make us conscious of the roles that we choose or that choose us and how we fulfill them.  It also seems to emphasize the conflict of interest between the individual and the larger groups they are involved in.  Anyways, what came out for me is the sense of urgency that compels us to fill these roles.  There is a certain sense of dramatic tension in all our lives because we feel a duty to do and be something great.  Some may lose sleep over it.  Some may feel guilty for not rising to challenges.  For a some, there is a subtle sense of guilt that drives us.  And many times it is what drives the most “successful” among us.  It’s kind of weird.
