This is a piece where I included a kids’ keyboard for parts of the arrangement.  Appropriate because, although the show may reach an adult audience, it is geared toward the 6-11 year old demographic.  This small keyboard was circuit-bent to create some really cool sounds.  I’m having a lot of fun messing with the insides of these toys lately!
The lyrics here are super-simple:  I just the words Water, Earth, Air, and Fire.  I imagine little kids and the way they play-fight using words and concepts from cartoons to imagine they are powerful.  Specifically, the piece turns out to be a battle between Fire and Air just as in the TV show.  Of course in the end Air wins because the protagonist, Aang, is the last Airbender and we want him to prevail over the forces of the imperialist Fire Nation.
