Here’s some unsolicited words from Brian Patterson, director of Both:

Just wanted to thank you one more time for doing such a great job on the soundtrack for my movie and to congratulate you.  I was, as you know, so anxious about the screening of my movie, and it ended up not being that bad at all.  And it was the soundtrack that did it--your music.  I'm not the only one who thought that, you should know.  Both my professors, who were there to critique our work, specifically mentioned your music.  One of them said it was the one of the high points of my movie, and the other agreed, saying the music helped to both structure the movie and communicate what I was trying to communicate.  He especially liked the opening, with the silence and then the chords; he understood immediately what you were trying to accomplish with that.  One of the students was also impressed by that.  To be honest, I think if I hadn't been there, everyone in the room would have agreed that your music was the BEST part of the whole thing!...I was impressed that you were able to put something effective together in such a short time.  You made me look good, and you were very reassuring and professional during the process, which was very helpful to me.
